Araghchi: US efforts to manipulate global energy market will cost American consumers

Tehran - BORNA - In a post on X, Araghchi said Iran’s information and intelligence assessments indicate that extensive efforts are underway to manipulate and steer energy markets.

“Based on our information and intelligence assessments, extensive efforts are underway to manipulate and steer energy markets,” he wrote.

“Some elements within the US administration, using gullible and easily influenced media, are seeking to affect prices for personal gain while at the same time keeping the US president trapped in a war he has lost.”

Araghchi added that actors aligned with Israel were also presenting overly optimistic and unrealistic assessments in an effort to promote and encourage continuation of the war.

“American consumers are paying the real price for this situation,” he said.
