Iran's President to travel to Kyrgyzstan on Monday for SCO summit

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will depart for Bishkek, the Kyrgyz capital, on Monday to attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

Tehran - BORNA - Pezeshkian's trip to Kyrgyzstan will last two days. He is set to deliver a speech at the SCO summit and hold bilateral meetings with heads of state and senior officials from the organization's member and partner countries during his time in Bishkek.

According to news sources, Pezeshkian will also attend the official opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games.

The 26th SCO summit will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 1, 2026, in Bishkek, under the theme "25 years of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation: together for peace, development and shared prosperity."
