Pakistan Optimistic on Revival of Iran-US Talks Following Regional Escalation
Tehran - BORNA - Extending concerns over military strikes by the US military on Iranian positions and Iran's subsequent response, the ministry spokesman stated that Islamabad continues its active diplomatic mediation to de-escalate tensions in the region.
"We are concerned about the tension between Iran and the United States, and this is not a desirable situation, but we remain optimistic about the resumption of talks between the two sides," the spokesman said, according to Al Hadath.
Highlighting recent high-level diplomatic and military engagements, the spokesman noted that Pakistan's army chief had traveled to Tehran, generating significant momentum regarding maritime security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Our diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East continue," the spokesman added.
