Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Condemns US Strike on Wedding as War Crime
Tehran - BORNA - In a post on his official X account late Tuesday, Baghaei detailed the strike on a residential home in Hormozgan Province, which left over 50 innocent civilians—including women and children—martyred and injured.
"The list of US crimes against the Iranian nation is now more complete than ever," Baghaei wrote. "Tonight, a residential house in Kohestak, Sirik, was targeted while people were holding a wedding ceremony. More than 50 innocent men, women, and children were martyred and wounded."
Baghaei stated that the assault cannot be viewed in isolation from earlier US attacks on civilian and military sites in Minab, Lamerd, Qeshm, and other areas.
"More dangerous than the bomb itself is the normalization of bombings; and more dangerous than silence is interpreting that silence as legitimacy," the spokesman added.
Warning international bodies against indifference, Baghaei asserted that Iran will deliver a decisive response to these atrocities, noting that silence from foreign governments and international organizations constitutes complicity rather than neutrality.
