Tehran - BORNA - Writing on the social media platform X, Baghaei addressed the Tuesday night bombing, which left approximately 70 Iranian compatriots—including women and children—dead or wounded. He stated that the incident exposed the true nature of Washington's illegal war against Iran, describing the targeting of a wedding as a desperate attempt by the US to mask its ongoing battlefield failures.

"The reality is the crimes that the US commits, not AI-generated videos that falsely portray American officials as moral and victorious heroes," Baghaei wrote.

Concluding his message, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson referenced Tim O'Brien’s seminal work, The Things They Carried, quoting: "A true war story is never moral... If a story seems moral, do not believe it."
