Iran Army says US bases in Kuwait, UAE hit in missile, drone strikes

Tehran - BORNA - In a statement, the Army’s Public Relations Department said the strikes were carried out as part of the 31st phase of a series of operations in retaliation for the deaths of Iranian civilians and members of the Armed Forces.

According to the statement, the Army targeted “satellite communications systems,” “equipment storage facilities” and “fighter aircraft hangars” used by US forces at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.

The Army said the strikes caused damage to communications systems and fighter aircraft hangars at the base.

It added that Iranian missiles and drones also struck US troop positions and radar systems at Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE.

The statement said Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base plays a central role in logistical support for US military operations in West Asia and is used extensively for air and surveillance missions.

It also said Al Minhad Air Base is an important hub for logistical support and the movement of foreign forces by air.

The Iranian Army said its response to any US military attack would be “harsh and devastating,” adding that its operations would continue until what it called the final defeat and punishment of the aggressor.
