Iran Red Crescent Urges ICRC to Clarify Fate of Detained Pilots, Address US Strike Consequences
The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Pir-Hossein Kolivand, has called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to urgently determine the status and location of three Iranian pilots and facilitate communication with their families.
Tehran - BORNA - During a meeting with ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric, Kolivand pressed for international attention regarding the humanitarian fallout of recent US airstrikes on a civilian wedding in Hormozgan Province, the fate of 17 Iranian sailors from the Shahin 2 vessel, and the reopening of the IRCS hospital in Dubai.
For her part, Spoljaric affirmed that the ICRC remains in active consultations with Qatari officials to clarify the whereabouts and condition of the Iranian pilots.
