SNSC secretary: Iran has 'absolutely no trust' in US

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Major General Mohsen Rezaei has emphasized the need to tackle terrorist groups, secure borders, and boost economic cooperation during a meeting with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) of Iraq, Bafel Talabani.

Tehran - BORNA - During the meeting, Rezaei underscored the necessity of addressing the issue of terrorist groups and establishing border security, while warning against the movements of the Zionist regime in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. He also called for the expansion and enhancement of bilateral economic ties.

"We have absolutely no trust in the United States, and they must take practical steps to earn our trust," Rezaei stated.

For his part, PUK President Bafel Talabani welcomed the enhancement of economic, security, and diplomatic cooperation between the two sides, stressing the importance of resolving the issue of terrorist groups and ensuring security along the borders.
