Araghchi to French counterpart: Enough crocodile tears, Mr. Barrot
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has responded to recent remarks by his French counterpart, urging him to stop shedding "crocodile tears."
Tehran - BORNA - Addressing French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on the X social media platform, Araghchi wrote: "One and a half million Algerians were massacred by France during the country's war of independence. Paris has officially registered less than one-tenth of them and still refuses to apologize for its colonial crimes."
Reacting to Barrot's interventionist remarks, the Iranian foreign minister added: "Enough crocodile tears, Mr. Barrot. Your silence when the US massacred our schoolchildren speaks volumes."
