IRGC: US expulsion from Iraq marks dawn of West Asia's liberation
Tehran - BORNA - In its statement, the IRGC commemorated the martyrs of the resistance front, particularly Iran's anti-terror icon Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Iraq’s Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, praising the Iraqi people's perseverance throughout two decades of occupation.
"The expulsion of the US from Iraq is the result of the zealous Iraqi nation's steadfastness for its independence," the statement read. "The Iraqi nation proved with its historic resistance that national will is the ultimate weapon against the excessive demands of hegemonic powers."
The IRGC emphasized that Washington was compelled to retreat from a territory it had occupied for 20 years, noting that the withdrawal was achieved not through negotiations, but through the resilience of the nation and the sacrifices of resistance fighters.
Describing the historic exit as the first step in avenging the blood of martyrs like al-Muhandis, the IRGC stated that "this revenge will be completed with the total expulsion of the US from the region."
The statement highlighted the fallout of the US occupation, arguing that the military intervention brought nothing but insecurity, terrorism, and instability to West Asia, while costing Washington thousands of lives and approximately $4 trillion amidst widespread Iraqi public resentment.
"The US must leave the region and entrust security management to the nations themselves," the IRGC noted, adding that the realities on the ground prove Washington is never a reliable ally and that regional nations must build their own countries.
Calling the US withdrawal from Iraq the "prelude to their expulsion from all of West Asia," the IRGC urged the Iraqi government, nation, and resistance forces to remain vigilant against potential plots by Washington and its allies to sow renewed instability in the country.
In conclusion, the IRGC reaffirmed its commitment to standing alongside the region's nations to "cleanse West Asia from the remnants of American aggressors and the child-killing, racist Zionist regime until the complete liberation of al-Quds."
