IRGC: Any new aggression will face far deadlier retaliation
Tehran - BORNA - According to the statement carried by Sepah News on October 1, the IRGC highlighted the historic significance of the October 2024 operation carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force. The military action was launched in retaliation for the martyrdom of key Resistance commanders and leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, targeting sites across the occupied territories with waves of precision-guided ballistic missiles and drones.
"'Operation True Promise 2' was not only a firm punitive measure against enemy aggression amid the deafening silence of international bodies, but also delivered an unequivocal message to the enemies of the Iranian nation, particularly the Zionist regime: the era of cost-free threats is over, and any aggression will elicit a painful and regrettable response," the statement read.
The IRGC credited the strategic execution of the operation to prominent commanders, citing the guidance of Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri, the leadership of Lieutenant General Hossein Salami, the technical ingenuity of Major General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, and the operational planning of Major General Mahmoud Bagheri, stating that the strikes exposed the vulnerability of the Zionist regime and challenged Washington’s backing.
Commemorating the martyrs of the Resistance front and the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the statement noted that the resolve shown by the IRGC and the Armed Forces forced adversaries to appeal for a ceasefire, proving the decisive role of the elite force in safeguarding national sovereignty.
Reaffirming its commitment under the directives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the IRGC emphasized that it maintains comprehensive intelligence dominance over US and Zionist assets throughout the region.
Concluding the statement, the IRGC assured the Iranian public and regional allies that its units stand with their "finger on the trigger," prepared to deliver a decisive, immediate, and significantly deadlier blow than Operation True Promise 2 in the event of any miscalculation, aggression, or hostile venture by Washington or its regional proxies.
