Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has instructed the country's newly appointed ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Italy, Uganda, and Senegal to defend national interests, expand multilateral relations, and carry a message of brotherhood and unity.

Tehran - BORNA - Speaking during a farewell ceremony for the new envoys on Tuesday, Pezeshkian wished them success in their diplomatic postings.

He expressed hope that the ambassadors would effectively champion Iran's national interests and enhance multilateral interactions, with a specific focus on economic diplomacy.

The president tasked the diplomats with deepening multifaceted ties with their host nations, urging them to pave the way for expanded scientific, cultural, economic, sports, and artistic exchanges.

Citing Quranic verses, Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of amity and Islamic convergence. He noted that all Muslim nations are considered a single, united community and should strive to strengthen friendship while avoiding tensions and sectarian strife.

"You, dear ones, are the bearers of the message of brotherhood, friendship, and unity," the president told the envoys.

"If our cooperation with other regional countries and neighbors is strengthened, we could establish a joint Islamic parliament, which would drive the progress and development of the Islamic community and ensure regional security," he stated.

Highlighting Islamic unity as an undeniable necessity against the hostilities of the Zionist regime, Pezeshkian underscored the urgent need to put aside religious and sectarian disputes.

"Moving in the path of divine commands will ensure that Israel never dares to cast a greedy eye on Islamic countries or attack them," Pezeshkian asserted. He added that the region is replete with wealth and capital, requiring mutual cooperation to achieve comprehensive cultural, political, and economic progress.

The president also noted that cultural attachés must act as transmitters of Islamic and Iranian culture and civilization, dedicating themselves to serving the people of their target societies.

During the ceremony, Hamidreza Dehghani, Mahmoud Heidari, Ali-Akbar Rezaei, Reza Nourian, and Hamid Moradkhani were officially introduced as Iran's new ambassadors to the UAE, Greece, Italy, Uganda, and Senegal, respectively.

The newly appointed diplomats concluded the meeting by briefing the president on their strategies and upcoming missions to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation in their respective host countries.
