Strait of Hormuz won't open under pressure, Iran won't retreat: Rezaei
Reacting to recent remarks by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Mohsen Rezaei asserted that Washington is destined to lose the ongoing economic confrontation just as it failed on the military front.
Tehran - BORNA - In a post on the social media platform X, the top security official dismissed Bessent's statements as "baseless predictions" that lacked credibility from the very beginning.
"The expiration date of his recent propaganda will be just as short," Rezaei wrote. "You failed in the military war; you will also fail in the economic war."
He concluded by emphasizing: "The Strait of Hormuz will not be opened by threat or pressure, and Iran will not retreat."
