Iranian president departs for Turkmenistan to attend CIS, Caspian summits

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian departed for Turkmenistan on Thursday afternoon to participate and deliver speeches at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and an environmental forum on the Caspian Sea.

Tehran - BORNA - Pezeshkian was officially seen off before his departure by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref and Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi, the deputy for international affairs at the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

During his visit, in addition to addressing the two high-level regional summits, the Iranian president is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings and consultations with several participating heads of state.
