Senior Iranian security official warns US: No reason for restraint this time

Tehran - BORNA - Speaking to Russia's TASS news agency, the senior security official in Tehran stated that past experiences with Washington's erratic policies require Iran to stay on maximum alert regardless of rhetoric coming out of the White House.

"The experience of contradictory US behavior and repeated deceptions on the one hand, and the current US administration's unprecedented susceptibility to the occupying Zionist regime on the other, dictates that—regardless of Trump's conflicting statements about attacking Iran or reports floated by American media—we must always maintain 100 percent readiness for a massive and decisive response to any attack, however small," the official said.

The official emphasized that Iran has based its calculations on the necessity of preparing for a prolonged confrontation with the adversary, aligning its defensive and offensive strategies and tactics accordingly.

"This time, beyond unveiling new and surprising military equipment, Iran will have no reason for any restraint or for keeping the geographical or operational scope of the battlefield limited," the senior security official stressed.
