Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has reacted to remarks by Benjamin Netanyahu's former military secretary regarding the October 7 operation, stating that the Israeli prime minister is desperately trying to save himself by sacrificing American lives and resources, while even US senators are looking for a way out.

Tehran (ISNA) - In response to a recent interview by the Zionist general who woke Netanyahu on the morning of October 7 and has now broken his silence, Araghchi stated: "Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal whose hands are stained with the blood of Arabs, Americans, and Iranians. To escape justice, he attaches no value to his own people."

"Like a bankrupt gambler, Netanyahu is desperately trying to save himself by sacrificing more American lives and wealth," the top Iranian diplomat continued. "Even US senators are seeking a way out of the abyss of disastrous failures."

Avi Gil, a Zionist general and military secretary to the Israeli prime minister from July 2021 to May 2024, recently told Israel's Channel 12 that Netanyahu had been warned three months prior to the outbreak of the war.

Gil stated that records and reports related to October 7 had been manipulated and that the hostages "could have been returned sooner."
