Response to any strike on Sana'a will be in Riyadh: Yemeni military
Tehran - BORNA - In a statement warning Saudi Arabia, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that any strike on Sana'a by Saudi Arabia would face a fierce and painful response in the Saudi capital.
The warning follows remarks by Turki al-Malki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition, announcing evacuation warnings for residents in specific areas of Sana'a in preparation for anticipated airstrikes.
Accompanied by an illustrative map, the Saudi coalition's Joint Forces Command urged civilians to evacuate the vicinity of the Yemen Petroleum Company and the Al-Sabahah central station in Sana'a for their safety.
On Tuesday, the Saudi coalition acknowledged that three drones had targeted northern Riyadh, claiming efforts to intercept them. This came after two ballistic missiles were fired Monday evening toward Khamis Mushait in southern Saudi Arabia.
Yemen's Saba News Agency also reported that Saudi airstrikes targeted the Bani Moeen area in the border district of Razih, located in the western part of northern Saada province.
In recent days, Saudi warplanes have carried out strikes across several areas in the Yemeni capital, specifically targeting Sana'a International Airport.
In response to those raids, the Yemeni Armed Forces launched retaliatory missile and drone strikes against multiple locations in Saudi Arabia, notably King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
