Only One Iranian Among Most Valuable Players of CAFA 2025
Tehran - BORNA - Uzbekistan’s national football team, with a total market value of €67.48 million, is the most expensive squad competing in the 2025 CAFA Championship.
The tournament takes place with Uzbekistan entering as the leading contender for the title, boosted by several high-value players active in European clubs. The spotlight will be on the highly anticipated clash between Iran and Uzbekistan.
Among the five most valuable players in the tournament, four are from Uzbekistan. Mehdi Taremi is the only Iranian to appear on the list.
Notably, Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov, valued at €35 million, is absent due to injury, ruling him out of CAFA 2025 despite being the tournament’s highest-valued player.
