Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Arrives in Moscow
Mohammad Eslami, Vice President of Iran and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), arrived in Moscow on Monday at the head of a delegation for high-level meetings with Russian officials and to participate in the events of Russia’s Nuclear Energy Week. He was welcomed at Sheremetyevo Airport by Kazem Jalali, Iran’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
Tehran - BORNA - According to Iran’s Embassy in Moscow, Eslami’s trip comes as part of Iran’s close cooperation with Russia in the peaceful nuclear field and coincides with the launch of a major international nuclear industry event hosted by Moscow.
Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Tehran had announced that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Russia’s nuclear industry, to be commemorated for the first time through a large-scale global gathering entitled “World Atom Week.”
The program will feature an international conference on nuclear energy and related industries, a science and education festival dedicated to youth, a specialized exhibition, and ceremonies honoring the Day of Nuclear Industry Workers in Russia.
