AFP: Bin Salman and Trump to Sign Civilian Nuclear Cooperation Agreement
Tehran - BORNA - The report states that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump during his trip to Washington, and this agreement will be signed during the visit.
AFP, quoting The Times of Israel, reported that the Saudi Crown Prince and the US President will sign this cooperation agreement during their talks today (Tuesday) at the White House.
The source, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue, stated that the Crown Prince and Donald Trump will sign a "framework for a civilian nuclear cooperation agreement based on the 123 Agreement," meaning an agreement to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons, similar to agreements the US has signed, particularly with South Korea, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
This comes after the Saudi Royal Court announced in a statement on Monday evening that, by order of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and in response to an invitation from President Donald Trump, Mohammed bin Salman departed for the United States on Monday.
