Russian Embassy in Iran Denies Alleged Recruitment Ad
The Russian Embassy in Iran denied an alleged advertisement attributed to the diplomatic mission, calling it fraudulent.

Tehran - BORNA - The Russian Embassy in Tehran announced in a statement on Tuesday that fraudulent individuals in Iran have recently committed fraud by publishing a letter online. This letter allegedly proposes that men aged 18 to 45 sign a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for service in the "special military operation zone." The letter claims that huge sums will be paid to those who sign the contract.

The Russian Embassy's statement formally declared: "This letter and any other letter with similar content are fake and criminal in nature. Neither the embassy nor any official structures of the Russian Federation have any connection with this letter."

The Russian Embassy advised: "Should you receive any 'alleged letter from the Embassy,' you are strongly recommended to report the matter to Iranian law enforcement agencies."
