The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, said in a series of posts on X in response to threats by Donald Trump that Iran will not engage in any negotiations with the United States.

Tehran - BORNA - Larijani wrote: “We will have no negotiations whatsoever with the United States. Trump sacrificed American soldiers for Israel’s power ambitions and is now concerned about further U.S. casualties.”

He added: “Through delusional conduct, Trump turned his self-styled slogan ‘America First’ into ‘Israel First,’ sacrificing American soldiers for Israel’s quest for power. With new fabrications, he is once again imposing the cost of his personality cult on American soldiers and their families.”

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council emphasized: “Today, the Iranian nation is defending itself. Iran’s armed forces did not initiate the aggression.”

Earlier, Al Jazeera, citing The Wall Street Journal, had claimed that the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council had launched new efforts to resume negotiations with Washington.
