Chinese Envoy: US Started War While All Parties Were Pursuing Negotiations

Tehran - BORNA - On Monday, Zhai Jun, China’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, called for a ceasefire and the launch of negotiations.

The Chinese envoy stressed that “the war should not have happened” and reminded all parties that the United States started the war while everyone was pursuing negotiations.

Zhai also noted that the United States and Israel attacked Iran without authorization from the international community.

According to Al Mayadeen, the Chinese envoy to the Middle East warned that “war threatens the stability of energy resources.”

He emphasized that the red line of targeting civilians must not be crossed.

Earlier, China’s Foreign Ministry had called on “all parties” to halt military operations and return to negotiations, warning that the continued escalation of conflict would push “the entire region into a vicious cycle of force.”
