Commander of Joint Air Defense Headquarters: We are Lying in Wait for Enemy Jets and Drones

Tehran - BORNA -  Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Joint Air Defense Headquarters, remarked during his visit: "Recent successes are the result of the struggle and self-sacrifice of all air defense personnel across the Armed Forces, particularly the Army and the IRGC, who are deployed at thousands of points across our Islamic homeland."

He added: "The brave men of the country’s air defense, during the 'Ramadan War,' successfully intercepted and destroyed several advanced enemy fighter jets and over 160 drones—including MQ-9s, Hermes, Lucas, and other types of American-Zionist aggressor UAVs—along with dozens of cruise missiles, through timely and precise action before they could complete any offensive operations, shattering the enemy's hollow propaganda."

The Commander emphasized: "We are lying in wait for enemy fighters and drones. The targeting and downing of several advanced 4th and 5th-generation enemy jets by Army and IRGC units is the result of innovative tactics and the utilization of modern indigenous systems, which have left the enemy in a state of confusion."

Brigadier General Elhami continued: "The country's air defense collective in both the Army and the IRGC have taken a solemn oath to protect the sacred skies of Islamic Iran and will not waver for a single moment. The courage shown by these warriors in confronting enemy aggression is commendable."

He concluded by expressing gratitude for the public's support: "We are sincerely grateful for the inspiring presence of our dear people on the scene and ask the brave nation of proud Islamic Iran to always pray for the warriors of the Armed Forces and the courageous men of the air defense as they carry out their sacred duty of service."
