Renewed Aggression Against Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Site; One Security Staff Member Martyred
In a continuation of U.S.-Israeli criminal attacks, a projectile struck the vicinity of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) perimeter fence at approximately 08:30 AM on Saturday, April 4.
Tehran - BORNA - The blast wave and resulting shrapnel damaged one of the plant's auxiliary buildings. Regrettably, one member of the facility’s physical protection staff was martyred in the attack.
Initial assessments indicate that the incident caused no damage to the plant’s core sections, and operational processes remain unaffected. However, this marks the fourth targeted attack on the Bushehr nuclear facility during the ongoing "imposed war."
The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is currently operational. Given the presence of significant quantities of radioactive material, any serious damage to the facility could trigger a major nuclear accident, leading to extensive and irreparable consequences for the entire region.
