Ghalibaf: Fired US generals defy Hegseth's betrayal of American lives
Reacting to US War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s dismissal of top officials, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said the high-ranking generals refuse to be yes-men for a TV host.

Tehran - BORNA - In a post on his X account late on Saturday, Ghalibaf wrote, after Hegseth sent off Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George and two other senior military officials, “Battle-tested generals refuse to be yes-men for a TV host selling out American lives for Israel's delusions.”

Ghalibaf described American forces' paying for the war with their lives as the "short-term price" of the Israeli-instigated aggression.

He went on to note that the war's long-term cost would be "American taxpayers paying at the pump for decades."
