High-Level Delegations Named for Islamabad Peace Talks: Ghalibaf to Face JD Vance
The chief negotiators for the highly anticipated talks between Iran and the United States, scheduled to commence this Friday in Islamabad, have been identified.

Tehran - BORNA - Following negotiations mediated by Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Iran and the United States agreed to a two-week ceasefire starting Wednesday at 3:30 AM. Based on this agreement, the negotiating delegations of both sides are set to begin talks in Islamabad on Friday within the framework of Iran’s 10-point proposal.

According to the local media, the Iranian negotiating team in Friday's talks will be headed by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, while U.S. Vice President JD Vance will lead the American delegation.

The framework of Iran's 10-point proposal encompasses not only the nuclear program and regional security but also the primary and secondary sanctions against Iran, some of which date back approximately 45 years.
