Araghchi Warns of U.S. Provocations in Consultations with Saudi Counterpart
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a telephone conversation on Monday to discuss regional developments following the ceasefire.

Tehran - BORNA - During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister elaborated on the situation in the region after the ceasefire announcement and the risks arising from provocative U.S. actions. He further briefed the Saudi Foreign Minister on the details of the Iran-U.S. negotiations in Islamabad.

Emphasizing Iran's responsible approach and goodwill in accepting the ceasefire and entering the negotiations, Araghchi stated: "Unfortunately, we witnessed the continuation of excessive demands by the American side during the negotiations, and this very issue led to the lack of a result."

For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s support for diplomatic efforts and expressed hope that this process would lead to a complete end to the war and the restoration of sustainable security and stability to the region.
