Aref Slams White House as 'Reporting Branch' for Netanyahu Following Vance Call

Tehran - BORNA - Aref responded to Netanyahu's claims on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He highlighted a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister, who reportedly said: "Vance reported to me on his way back from Islamabad, just as he does every day."

The Iranian First Vice President wrote in English: "For the first time in history, a senior government official provides 'daily reports' to the head of another government!"

He further questioned the nature of this relationship, stating: "The issue is not us; it relates to a kind of structural humiliation. Do the American people know that the White House has practically turned into a 'reporting branch' for another regime?"

Aref’s remarks come amidst reports that Netanyahu received detailed updates from Vice President JD Vance regarding the high-stakes U.S.-Iran negotiations in Islamabad, which ended without a final agreement after 21 hours of intense discussion.
