Following his official welcome of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Iran’s Foreign Minister emphasized that the commitment of both nations to promoting regional peace and stability remains steadfast.

TEhran - BORNA - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after welcoming General Asim Munir to Tehran on Wednesday.

"I am very pleased to welcome Field Marshal Munir to Iran," Araghchi wrote.

He further expressed his gratitude for Islamabad's role in the ongoing diplomatic process, stating: "I sincerely appreciate Pakistan's generous hosting of the dialogues and emphasized that this action is a reflection of the depth and strength of our bilateral relations."

The Iranian Foreign Minister concluded by highlighting the common goals of the two neighbors: "Our commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region remains steadfast, and this commitment is shared between us."

General Asim Munir’s visit to Tehran is seen as a key step in advancing the diplomatic framework established during the recent Islamabad negotiations between Iran and the United States.
