Tehran - BORNA - In response to threats from the U.S. Treasury Secretary regarding the intensification of sanctions against Iran, Esmaeil Baghaei took to the social media platform X to criticize the American approach.

"It is truly pathetic that policies whose sole philosophy and function are to deliberately inflict pain and suffering on humans are being proudly promoted and whitewashed," Baghaei wrote.

The spokesperson added that such behavior confirms a "deeply anti-human mentality" driving these decisions.

Baghaei further noted that these policies represent "economic terrorism" and "state blackmail," which by their very nature are considered crimes against humanity and genocide.
