Yemen's Ansarullah announced the possibility of closing the Bab al-Mandeb Strait
Tehran - BORNA - Yemen's Ansarullah movement has raised the possibility of closing the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait in a warning statement and assessed it in the context of a reaction to US policies in the region.
Hussein al-Ezzi, a figure in the movement, wrote in a message on the social network "X" that if Sanaa decides to close Bab al-Mandeb, no party will be able to reopen or cross it.
"If we decide to close Bab al-Mandeb, all humans and jinn will also be unable to open it," he said.
He also referred to the United States and the international community, calling on them to change their policies towards Yemen and the region and respect "the rights of nations".
The Bab al-Mandeb Strait has emerged as one of the most important sea crossings in the world, a route that plays a key role in international trade and the passage of commercial ships.
