Araghchi Holds Phone Consultations with Pakistani FM and Army Chief
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, to discuss regional developments and issues concerning the ceasefire.

Tehran - The discussions focused on the latest regional situation and ongoing efforts regarding the ceasefire.

Notably, the second round of negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad did not take place due to ceasefire violations, the naval blockade of Iran, and excessive U.S. demands. Following Iran’s firm stance on the necessity of strict ceasefire implementation and respect for the country’s sovereign demands, Donald Trump extended the ceasefire with Iran.

While a specific timeframe for the ceasefire extension has not been established, consultations and interactions between Iran and the U.S. continue through Pakistani mediation.
