Leader: Nation’s epic resistance against US, Israeli armies places heavier duty on officials
Tehran - BORNA - The text of the message issued by Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of President Raisi and in commemoration of the "Martyrs of Service" is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Commemorating the martyrs of the May flight, foremost among them the martyred President Hojjat-ol-Islam wal-Muslemin Raisi, recalls the martyrdom of a long line of dedicated servants of the Islamic Republic of Iran. From Motahhari, Beheshti, Rajai, and Bahonar, to Raisi, Al-Hashem, Amir-Abdollahian, and Larijani—hundreds of prominent figures nurtured in the school of the great Khomeini and the beloved Khamenei (may God elevate their sublime stations) have adorned the record of sincere and jihadist service of the Islamic Republic’s officials with their own blood.
Among the prominent traits of Martyr Raisi, one can enumerate accountability, youth-centrism, a commitment to justice, an active and beneficial diplomacy, and, above all, being deeply connected to the people. These characteristics brought reassurance to Iran's friends, including the fighters of the powerful Resistance Front, and many well-wishers of the establishment. All of this was, of course, intertwined with a spirituality rooted in the depths of his soul. In the relationship between officials and the public, such positive and impactful traits foster mutual appreciation. It was due to this that his farewell journey to the sanctuary of his master, Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Rida (peace and blessings be upon him), was conducted with unparalleled grandeur. The incomplete presidential term of that martyr provided a benchmark of dedication and compassion for the nation and the country, while strictly preserving its independence.
We now stand witness to the epic achievements of the Iranian nation in its unique, historic resistance against two global terrorist armies. This reality places a heavier burden of duty than ever before on the officials of the Islamic Republic—from the Leadership and the heads of the branches of government to managers at all levels. Today, expressing gratitude for the blessing of cohesion between the nation, the government, and all apparatuses of the Islamic Republic lies in strengthening motivation, delivering redoubled and jihadist service by officials, resolving the problems and concerns of the people—particularly in the economic and livelihood spheres—maintaining direct field presence, and defining a serious role for a mobilized nation on the path of national progress and hopeful movement toward a bright future.
May divine mercy and grace rest upon the martyrs of the path of service, and may divine victory and the prayers of our Master [Imam Mahdi] (may God hasten his reappearance) support those who serve the Muslim people of Iran.
