Donyamali congratulates OIC counterparts on Eid al-Adha, emphasizes sports diplomacy

"Your Excellencies, Honorable Ministers of Sports and Senior Officials of Youth Affairs of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC);
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh
With great pleasure and joy, I sincerely congratulate and felicitate Your Excellencies, esteemed colleagues, and the sports and youth community of Islamic countries on the arrival of the auspicious Eid al-Adha; the feast of the glory of servitude, Abrahamic sacrifice, and the manifestation of solidarity and cohesion of the great Islamic Ummah.
The blessed Eid al-Adha, as a symbol of absolute submission to the divine will and a binder of the hearts of the world's Muslims, is a valuable opportunity to recall the sublime human values, peace, equality, and the strengthening of fraternal relations across the Islamic world.
In the contemporary world, sports play a role beyond field competitions and are recognized as a dynamic, peace-building language that connects nations. I believe that sports diplomacy, relying on the Pahlavani (chivalrous) tradition, transnationality, and the essence of solidarity, possesses an unparalleled capacity toward promoting sustainable peace, empathy, and the excellence of Islamic societies.
I hope that under the human-building teachings of Islam and by relying on shared will, we can benefit from the high capacities of sports toward elevating the status of Muslim youth, developing cultural and social relations, and also strengthening friendship and brotherhood throughout the entire world.
In this regard, I declare my full readiness to expand and deepen multilateral sports cooperations with the aim of creating greater cohesion within the Islamic Ummah.
From the threshold of the Almighty, I pray for continuous health and success for Your Excellencies, and for honor, sustainable peace, and increasing prosperity for the nations and sports communities of the member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation."
