Iran issues stark warning: Ceasefire violation on any front is violation on all fronts
Tehran - BORNA - The statement by Iran's diplomatic apparatus reads: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while recalling the ceasefire agreement dated April 8, 2026, which brought to a halt the imposed war by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran on all fronts, including Lebanon, notes that since the announcement of the ceasefire on April 8, the United States has repeatedly committed flagrant violations of the ceasefire, including continuous aggression against Iran's commercial shipping. Simultaneously, the Zionist regime, through a gross violation of the ceasefire, has violated Lebanon's territorial integrity and national sovereignty, causing the martyrdom and injury of several thousand Lebanese, the displacement of two million people, and the destruction of that country's infrastructure and people's homes. Violation of the ceasefire on any one front constitutes a violation on all fronts."
The statement further emphasizes: "Despite the declared efforts of the United States in the early days following the ceasefire to force the Zionist regime to stop its aggression against Lebanon, the direct responsibility of the United States – both for violating the ceasefire against Iran and for the Zionist regime's violation of the ceasefire against Lebanon – is established, and responsibility for the effects and consequences of this situation lies with the United States."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed in its statement: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly warned about the dangerous consequences of ceasefire violations on regional peace and security and has called for an end to these aggressions and crimes. It is clear that the Islamic Republic of Iran, with all its strength and using all capacities based on the inherent right of legitimate defense, will defend its interests wherever it deems necessary."
