The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament held a phone call to discuss the latest political and field developments in the region alongside the provisions of the newly brokered memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington, emphasizing the direct responsibility of the guarantor parties to enforce commitments and end the war in Lebanon.

Tehran - BORNA - Lebanese media networks reported that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, and Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, consulted extensively over the phone regarding the latest developments unfolding across Lebanon and the wider region.

As reported by the Lebanese outlet Elnashra, during the conversation, the two top officials thoroughly analyzed the recent political and operational battlefield dynamics connected to the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran.

Ghalibaf and Berri dedicated a specific portion of their discussion to reviewing the particular clause within the accord that mandates the immediate and permanent termination of the Zionist regime’s war against Lebanon.

The two legislative leaders went on to emphasize that the United States, alongside the designated guarantor parties of the memorandum of understanding and the wider international community, must fully assume their legal and political responsibilities to compel the Zionist regime to end its aggression against Lebanon.

Furthermore, both speakers called for an immediate halt to the destruction of Lebanese villages, demanded absolute respect for Lebanon's territorial sovereignty, and insisted on the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all newly seized Lebanese lands.
