Ghalibaf meets Oman's Foreign Minister in Muscat
Tehran - BORNA - Oman's Foreign Ministry announced in a statement: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, Oman's Foreign Minister, met with Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, along with his accompanying delegation, including Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, who are visiting Oman as part of an official trip.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations and good neighborly ties between Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as ways to develop them in line with mutual interests, were discussed and reviewed.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional developments. They emphasized the importance of seizing the current diplomatic opportunity to support peace efforts and strengthen calm and stability, based on the principles of international law and good neighborliness – matters that will bolster de-escalation opportunities and preserve regional security and maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz and international waterways.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large; Mousa Farhang, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Muscat; and a number of officials from both countries.
