Iran's Defense Minister: No trust in enemy despite trust in brothers

Tehran - BORNA - Brigadier General Seyed Majid Ibn al-Reza, Acting Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, in a telephone conversation with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Defense Affairs, while thanking Qatar for its role in the negotiations leading to the current ceasefire, stated: "Unfortunately, the other side has violated its commitments on several occasions even in this short period."

Referring to the long history of US bad faith toward Iran, he said: "We have a long experience of US interference and violations over the past six to seven decades, and the issues between Iran and America are rooted in historical distrust and repeated hostile behavior by that country."

Iran's Defense Minister added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will never forget the assassination and martyrdom of its supreme political and religious leader, military commanders, innocent civilians, and especially the students of Minab school. These crimes will be recorded in America's black record forever."

No trust in the enemy; hands on trigger

Ibn al-Reza, emphasizing Iran's trust in Muslim and neighboring countries, especially Qatar, noted: "Despite our trust in our brothers, we do not trust the enemy, and our hands are on the trigger. Without a doubt, in case of any violation of the ceasefire provisions, we will take appropriate and necessary action and response."

Foreign presence destabilizes the region

Referring to the importance of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz in global trade, he said: "This region should not be exploited by extra-regional countries. The presence of foreign forces not only does not create security but also increases misunderstanding, mistrust, and insecurity."

Iran's Acting Defense Minister emphasized: "Security is an endogenous matter, and regional countries themselves must decide on the region's security."

Israel's existence depends on instability

Ibn al-Reza, referring to the Zionist regime's crimes in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, and Iran, stated: "US support has enabled this regime's continued existence and audacity. Its existence and survival depend on creating crisis and tension in the region."

Readiness to expand defense cooperation

The Acting Defense Minister, emphasizing Iran's readiness to expand defense cooperation with neighbors, especially Qatar, said: "We can discuss the development of regional security mechanisms. The more defense and military cooperation between the two countries increases, the more mutual trust and collective security in the region will be strengthened."

At the end of the conversation, the two sides emphasized the expansion of defense relations and cooperation between the two countries.
