Medvedev: Iranian people will triumph over the United States
Russia's Deputy Security Council Chairman, who has arrived in Tehran to attend the farewell ceremony for Iran's martyred leader, said the Iranian people will prevail in their struggle against the United States.
Tehran - BORNA - Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, wrote on social media after attending the farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei: "Grief has united the Iranian people, a people who have not surrendered to the pressure organized by the United States and other countries that joined it."
Medvedev added: "The Iranian people have stood firm in this struggle, and I am confident that they will ultimately triumph."
The Russian official also noted that Moscow stands with the Iranian people in mourning the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
