Russian Navy chief: Ukraine has committed international maritime terrorism by attacking commercial vessels
Tehran - BORNA - Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, said during a television program: "Throughout 2025 and 2026, only commercial shipping has been subjected to attacks. At the same time, I would like to point out that there are virtually no Russian-flagged vessels there, they are all ships from third countries. This is, in essence, international terrorism, there is no other way to describe it."
Admiral Alexander Moiseyev made the remarks during a television program on Sunday, noting that none of the targeted vessels were sailing under the Russian flag and all belonged to third countries.
He also outlined plans to strengthen Russia's naval capabilities with advanced 9,500-ton ocean-going destroyers, emphasizing that these vessels are designed for long-term deployment at sea. He stated that these reinforcements are included in both strategic plans and the future shipbuilding program as a requirement.
