Ghalibaf Tells Hamas Official That Iran and Resistance Share 'Substantial Path' Against Global Arrogance

Tehran - BORNA - During the meeting on Wednesday morning, September 2, Ghalibaf highlighted the instructive history of the Resistance Front, noting that the core of its struggle is rooted in the eternal fight between right and wrong. He stated that the spirit of resistance has continually manifested in new forms over the past five decades.

"We do not reject negotiations, but negotiation is a tool for struggle," Ghalibaf asserted. "If one day we abandon the fight against the US and the Zionist regime in its various forms, that day will be our day of defeat."

Addressing regional dynamics, the parliament speaker noted that even governments in the region traditionally aligned with Washington now acknowledge that the US is the primary source of regional instability. Referring to ongoing diplomatic tracks, Ghalibaf mentioned that during talks regarding an understanding with the US, Iran insisted on an immediate end to the war against Iran and its allies in the Resistance Front, pushing back against initial 15-point American demands that sought to halt Iran's missile, nuclear, and resistance activities.

Ghalibaf also reiterated Tehran’s firm stance on maritime security, stating that the US must fulfill its commitments under the Islamabad agreement before Iran takes steps to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

For his part, Basem Naim praised Iran's political and military posture, describing it as a source of pride for the region. "Many countries were caught off guard by your performance against the US, but we knew that when the moment of confrontation arrived, the enemy would be surprised by your actions," Naim said.

The Hamas official reaffirmed that Palestinian resistance against the Zionist regime will continue unabated until every trace of the occupation is removed from Palestinian land.
