Larijani Travels to Iraq
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani departed for Iraq today (Monday) on his first official trip in this capacity.
Tehran - BORNA - the security agreement between Iran and Iraq has been cited among the key objectives of this visit.
On August 4, President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Larijani as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Two days later, on August 6, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also appointed him as the Leader’s representative in the SNSC.
