Leader: Those who hope for a change in the arrogance system's behavior are badly mistaken
Tehran - BORNA - The full text of the message by Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance:
"Today is the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance — a day that brings together a series of turning points in the arraying of the front of truth against the front of falsehood, and the front of the oppressed against the front of the oppressor. It might be said that this year, on the thirteenth of Aban, the Iranian nation knows its reckoning with criminal America more clearly and transparently than in any other year; but reviewing the roots, causes and turning points of America's ever-increasing hostility, and the Iranian nation's steadfast arraying against it, is a lamp lighting the way to the future of this path.
The starting point of America's oppression against the Iranian nation goes back more than seven decades — to when it staged the coup of the twenty-eighth of Mordad to continue plundering national resources and assets, particularly oil. The following decades, up to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, were also a period in which American rulers made extensive efforts to plunder the assets of the Iranian nation. Along this path, by establishing SAVAK and imposing a heavy security atmosphere on society, they opened the hand of the tyrannical government of the time wider to suppress any protest movement. On the eve of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, they used every trick to preserve their puppet government.
From their hostile behavior in the period after the great victory of the Iranian nation, one can present a long list of their anti-people actions: support for separatist groups, coup-plotters and the hard-hearted hypocrites who, in addition to scientific, political and social elites, mercilessly martyred masses of ordinary people; direct and all-out support for the Ba'ath Party in the first imposed war; the killing of civilians aboard a passenger plane; extensive, long and heavy economic sanctions; the plotting and support of numerous riots and seditions and even weapons support for them; the assassination of Sardar Soleimani, the national hero of Iran and the Islamic ummah; the theft of the assets and properties of the Iranian nation in various countries; and finally, direct military aggression in the second and third imposed wars and the martyrdom of a large number of elites, scientists and commanders and a huge multitude of the oppressed Iranian people — from infants and small children to the elderly — and at the head of all of them, the great and eminent leader of the Islamic Revolution, may God sanctify his pure soul.
Throughout all these stages, the arrogant rulers of America and their followers have constantly sought to impose their dominance and to bring Iran to submission, and even in the latest versions of this bullying they have set aside all the false and deceptive international proprieties and shamelessly seek the partition of the country, the bringing of the nation to its knees, the collapse of the system, and the destruction of Iran's ancient and authentic civilization. And of course, at every stage they have been met by the solid wall of ground reality and the firm rocks of the will of the zealous Iranian nation, and have placed the result of their miscalculations and arrogant delusions into a basket of heavy costs on the shoulders of the American people and the governments subservient to the American state.
Now the story of America's long-standing enmity with the Muslim nation of Iran, and the zealous resistance of all Iranians against this enemy, has reached a point where not only the thirteenth of Aban but all days and hours have become days of standing and struggle against the Great Satan. Now the scene of the Persian Gulf, especially the Strait of Hormuz, while it has established the falsity of the myth of America's invincibility, shows the weakness and abjectness of governments that rely on a force other than their own nation, and the disloyalty and impotence of the great powers in defending their puppet governments.
Iran's exercise of management over the Strait of Hormuz and the destruction of American military bases in the countries of the region, although it was a reaction to America's aggression and crime in the third imposed war, was at the same time an initial jihad against arrogance on a regional scale that, in the event of a repetition of the aggressions, will take on far wider dimensions. This sign of authority, alongside the unity of the domains of the front of truth and the intelligent and powerful epic-making of the resistance front from Palestine and Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen, is a clear and hope-giving dawn of the raising of the banner of the front of truth and the paving of the ground for a new world order; for whenever the front of truth has trust, steadfastness and sacrifice, the front of falsehood — with whatever power and capability, whoever and whatever it may be — will not withstand it, and retreat and defeat are its certain end: 'Indeed, falsehood is ever bound to vanish.'
Praise be to God, the Iranian nation has learned great lessons well from the teachings of pure Muhammadan Islam, may God bless him and his family, and from the knowledge of the Islamic Revolution and the school of its wise leaders — the great Khomeini and the martyred Khamenei, may God raise their noble stations — and day by day, with the realization of divine promises, its faith in the truth of this path has deepened. Today, as a result of the self-made scandal of the arrogant, America's power and dominance is in irreversible decline in both dimensions — hard military power and international soft power — and its process of collapse has accelerated.
If there are still those who hold even a slight hope for a change in behavior or for partisan and factional shifts in the system of arrogance, or who imagine that by giving concessions to America they can dissuade it from enmity with the Iranian nation, they are badly mistaken. This false notion is ingratitude toward the great conquests the Muslim nation of Iran has achieved in the shadow of trust, steadfastness and struggle. The Great Satan's wish is the unconditional submission of the Iranian nation, and the slightest tendency toward submission to the domineering enemy will squander the great capital obtained by the blessing of the martyrs' blood and the sacrifice of the nation's individuals, and will make the arrogant enemy more emboldened for greater excess, further wars and further audacities.
The only path to absolute deterrence is the continuation of the strategy of 'Iran the stronger' along the path of all-round progress; and integration, unity and social cohesion are the principal element of success on this path, which must govern every individual and social word and deed of the nation and the officials. In this regard, while the nation's support for officials is necessary, the continuation and elevation of officials' attention to redoubled and jihadi service, to intimacy with the people, to securing their livelihood, comfort and material and spiritual growth, and to preserving their dignity and independence is also important.
The vanguard for building the bright and glorious future of dear Iran are our youth, university students and school students, who must continuously seek to conquer and destroy the dark den of 'despair, hopelessness and can'ts' and to open the bright house of 'hope and we can.' The requirement of this mission is extraordinary fitness and being equipped with all kinds of weapons of knowledge, piety, skill, ethics, will and extraordinary effort, and a 'covenant' to reach lofty goals.
It is hoped that, by God's grace and the prayers of our master, may God hasten his noble reappearance, the Iranian nation will experience victory, felicity and all-round progress as soon as possible, and the causes of the further and faster decline of the Great Satan's dominance will be provided. 'Indeed, they see it as far off, but We see it as near.'"
