PSG Handball Star Syprzak to Borna: We Always Fight for the Top Spot
Polish handball star Kamil Syprzak, a key player for Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to Borna about his ambitions for the new season.

Tehran - BORNA - Syprzak, 34, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s standout line players in recent years. He began his professional career in 2009 with Wisła Płock, where he spent six successful seasons before joining FC Barcelona in 2015. From 2015 to 2019, he wore the Blaugrana jersey before moving to PSG, where he has played since 2019 with the number 21 shirt, becoming one of the cornerstones of the French champions.

On the international stage, Syprzak has represented Poland since 2011, making over 175 appearances and scoring 394 goals. The highlight of his national team career came in 2015, when Poland claimed the bronze medal at the World Championship in Qatar.

Speaking with Borna after completing PSG’s pre-season training, Syprzak expressed his determination for the upcoming campaign: “We always fight for the highest position, and that mentality is present in every player. We never look back at past successes or failures; we only look ahead and fight for the competitions in front of us.”

On his personal performance at age 34, Syprzak added: “I am really satisfied with my individual performance so far, but I want to work even harder for my team.”

He concluded by stressing the challenges of elite competition: "Every season and every match is different, with its own difficulties and challenges. I have prepared myself for those challenges.”
