Iran and the United States have resumed negotiations after a pause that began around noon local time on Thursday to allow both delegations to consult with their respective capitals. The talks restarted following the return of both sides to the venue at the residence of Oman’s foreign minister in Geneva.

Indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States were temporarily paused on Thursday to allow for internal consultations and a brief recess, and are expected to resume in the coming hours.

The Special Assistant to the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament for International Affairs announced that Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf will travel to Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
