Pezeshkian to visit Qatar

Tehran - BORNA - President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Massoud Pezeshkian will travel to Qatar on Monday, September 15, with the aim of attending an emergency summit of Islamic leaders and supporting the Qatari government against the recent Israeli attack.

In an interview, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, referring to the holding of a summit of Arab and Islamic leaders on Sunday and Monday, September 14 and 15, in Doha, announced: "In this summit, Mr. President will present Iran's positions seriously and clearly. We emphasize that the time for action has come and talking is no longer enough."

Masoud Pezeshkian previously paid a two-day visit to Doha, the capital of Qatar, on October 1 of last year for an official bilateral meeting and to attend the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum.
