FIBA U16 Women’s Asian Cup: Iran Advances to Final After Defeating Hong Kong
Iran’s U16 women’s national basketball team booked its place in the final of the FIBA Asian Cup Division B in Malaysia after a commanding 64–20 victory over Hong Kong in the semifinals on Thursday.

Tehran - BORNA - According to the Basketball Federation of Iran, the semifinal tipped off at 14:30 Tehran time. The Iranian squad controlled the game from start to finish, winning all four quarters decisively:

1st Quarter: Iran 19–10 Hong Kong

2nd Quarter: Iran 12–4 Hong Kong

3rd Quarter: Iran 18–6 Hong Kong

4th Quarter: Iran 15–0 Hong Kong

Elena Ahmadian was named the best player of the match, finishing with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 4 assists, and an efficiency rating of 17.

Iran will now face India in the final on Friday at 13:30 Tehran time. Earlier in the group stage, Iran fell to India but defeated Samoa and Uzbekistan. The team then advanced to the semifinals after beating Malaysia in the playoff round, before overcoming Hong Kong to secure a spot in the title match.
