Larijani: What Iranian of dignity would accept missile range limits?
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to maintaining its missile capabilities, stressing that national defense is non-negotiable.
Tehran - BORNA - Shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump delivered hostile remarks against Iran at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, Larijani’s official account on the X platform published excerpts from his address earlier that day to members of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce.
“Friends, Iran’s insistence is not without reason. A condition to reduce missile ranges to below 500 kilometers means abandoning our defensive capability against Israel. What Iranian of dignity would accept such a restriction?” Larijani wrote.
The SNSC secretary further underscored, “National security is not up for bargaining.”
Earlier in his UN address, Trump referred to the aggressive bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
