Iran Drawn with Uzbekistan, South Korea, and Lebanon in 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup

Tehran - BORNA - According to the results, Iran was placed in Group C alongside Uzbekistan, South Korea, and Lebanon.

The seeding was based on performances in the three previous editions of the tournament — Qatar 2024, Uzbekistan 2022, and Thailand 2020 — with Iran entering the draw from Pot 3. Sixteen teams were divided into four pots, while host nation Saudi Arabia was placed in Pot 1 with a distinct-colored ball.

The groups are as follows:

Group A: Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan

Group B: Japan, Qatar, UAE, Syria

Group C: Uzbekistan, South Korea, Iran, LebanonGroup D: Iraq, Australia, Thailand, China

Iran’s U-23 team qualified for the final tournament by defeating Hong Kong, Guam, and the UAE in the preliminary stage.

The 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup will be hosted by Saudi Arabia from January 7 to January 25, 2026.
